The Swaziland Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys IV and V are nationally representative surveys of households, children, women and men. The main objective of the surveys is to provide up to date information for assessing the situation of children, women and men in Swaziland. Another objective is to furnish data needed for monitoring progress towards the goals established at the World Summit for Children and the Millennium Development Goals. The findings of the surveys are utilised by government and development partners for planning and monitoring programme implementation.
Study done to assess the quality of life (QOL) of people living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) in Swaziland who are on ART.
The report presents outcomes of the HIV/AIDS baseline survey commissioned by Matsapha Town Board. The survey focused on areas within the current boundaries of Matsapha urban area. The respondents were heads of households and representatives of companies at management levels. Matsapha Town Board commissioned the survey mainly to provide empirical data about the prevalence of HIV/AIDS as well as interventions and activities undertaken by various organizations in Matsapha.
The HIV prevention policy provides direction and guidelines on the HIV prevention programme implementation and on the response management to an extensive range of stakeholders, which includes policymakers, managers, programmers and implementers, taking into consideration the risk factors to infection and the key drivers to the epidemic.
